Welcome everyone. This new initiative is designed to keep former and current students, parents and teachers updated about the developments at American International School of Lusaka. There are a lot of activities happening around the school, mainly centered around building development. The school is currently building a state of the art modern Performing Arts Theater and Gymnasium.
There are a number of fund raising ventures on which the school has embarked through the development office. Your contribution and participation towards these ventures will be very welcome.
The current fund raising ventures are:
• Lighting equipment for musicals, displays, graduation and exhibitions.
• Chairs for the Performing Arts Theater. (If you want your name to be on a chair in a plaque form, it is currently going at $200 per chair. There will only be 380 chairs available so buy one ASAP.)
• Scholarships. The school has embarked on a scholarship program to promote the relationship between the school and the host country, Zambia, by selecting Zambian students of academic excellence to come and have an International Baccalaureate education at our school. This will be done by asking Corporations and interested individuals to contribute to the fund, or to sponsor a particular student for the duration of the progam.

About the School
The American International School of Lusaka (AISL) was established in 1986 through an exchange of diplomatic notes between the American embassy of Zambia and the Zambian government.
The school, in pursuit of promoting its global community objectives, is launching a scholarship program to students of Zambian descent who demonstrate academic and leadership skills.
The school is committed to being a leading International Baccalaureate offering
an internationally recognized college preparatory education. It seeks to enable its students to become successful, lifelong learners, as well as humane, self-directed, confident and well-rounded individuals. At AISL, students learn to appreciate Zambian culture, as well as other cultures represented in the internationally diverse student and faculty body, and gain a deeper understanding of their place within a global community.
